A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA TO PARTICIPATE IN THE
STREETLIGHT CONVERSION LOAN PROGRAM
OF THE CALIFORNIA ENERGY COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the California Energy Commission (CEC)
administers a low interest Streetlight Conversion Loan Pro-
Gram whereby loans are provided to local governments and
special districts owning or leasing streetlights from
entities, which loans are to be used to convert existing
streetlight systems to sodium vapor lighting or its equiv-
alent in energy efficiency; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana desires to participate
in said Program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS:
1. The City of Santa Ana is hereby authorized to partici-
pate in the Streetlight Conversion Loan Program administered by
the California Energy Commission.
2. The Executive Director of the Public Services Agency
of the City of Santa Ana is hereby appointed the authorized
representative of the City of Santa Ana for all purposes of
the City's participation in the said Program.
