RESOLUTION NO. 86-3
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING THE
CHARTER OF THE WATER ADVISORY COMMIT-
TEE OF ORANGE COUNTY
WHEREAS, developments and changes in water resource plan-
ning and project implementation have resulted in the need for a
more comprehensive program to manage, develop and import water and
for coordination thereof with the County of Orange in its land use
and other planning activities; and
WHEREAS, six public entities responsible for the manage-
ment of either imported water supplies or groundwater supplies of
Orange County have formed a joint committee designated as the Water
Advisory Committee of Orange County ("WACO") to formulate water
policy and planning matters; and
WHEREAS, WACO has drawn up a Charter setting forth the
particulars of its purpose, organization and membership rights; and
WHEREAS, said Charter is required to be approved by reso-
lution of all participating entities; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana desires to be a partici-
pating entity in WACO.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA that the Charter of the Water Advisory Committee
of Orange County is hereby approved.
