RESOLUTION NO. 86-7
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 82-110 TO ADD NEW JOB CLASSES TO
CLASSIFY AND COMPENSATE NEW POSITIONS AUTHORIZED IN THE
1985-8~o ANNUAL BUDGET AI~D TO EFFECT C~I~HER CHANGES TO THE
CITY'S BASIC CLASSIFICATION A~D CC~IPEMSATION PLAN
WHEREAS, on August 2, 1982 the City COuncil passed and adopted
Resolution No. 82-110 revising and re-establishing the basic
Classification and Compensation Plan for Officers and Employees of the
City of Santa Ana; and
WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City ~larter of the City
of Santa Ana requires the City Manager to prepare, install and n~intain
a position classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules
and regulations and the approval of the City Council: and
WHEREAS, City Council has from time to time amended said
Resolution: and
WHfP. EAS, with the adoption of the 1985-86 Annual Budget, City
Council approved the addition and/or reclassification of various
positions throughout the City organization including a number of such
positions which, due to significantly different duty, responsibility and
qualification requirements, cannot be allocated to existing classes
found in the City's Basic Classification and Compensation Plan; and
WHEREAS, it is now desired to add three new class titles,
together with assigned salary rate ranges, to the City's Basic
Classification and Coz~Densation Plan and to change one class title
without any change in salar"y.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RE~OLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA:
1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 82-110, as amended, is
hereby further amended by:
a. Adding in proper alphabetical sequence, the following
new class titles and assigning them to a salary adjustment schedule as
next hereinafter set out:
