HomeMy WebLinkAbout86-030RESOLUTION NO. 86-30 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 85-145 TO ADD THE UNREPRESENTED MIDDLE-MANAGEMENT CLASS OF ASSISTANT MUSEUM DIRECTOR TO THE CITY'S BASIC COMPENSATION PLAN FOR UNREPRESENTED MANAGEMENT CLASSIFICATIONS WHEREAS, on November 1, 1985, City Council amended the City's Basic Classification and Compensation Plan (Resolution 82-110) to add the new unrepresented middle-management class of Assistant Museum Director; and WHEREAS, on December 3, 1985, when City Council adopted Resolution 85-145 establishing a class and pay plan for unrepresented management classes of employment separate and distinct from the City's Basic Classification and Compensation Plan for other classes of employment of the City, staff inadvertently omitted the title of the then newly established class of Assistant Museum Director (MM) from the list of management classes included under said new management pay plan; and WHEREAS, to correct said oversight and to ensure an internally consistent salary and benefits program for all unrepresented management classes, it is now desired to delete the class title of Assistant Museum Director (MM) from Resolution No. 82-110 and to add said title to Resolution No. 85-145 at an appropriate and comparable salary level. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA: further (MM) 1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 82-110, as amended, be amended by deleting the class title of Assistant Museum Director 2. That Section 3B of Resolution No. 85-145 be amended by adding, in alphabetical sequence, the unrepresented middle-management class of Assistant Museum Director (MM) at salary rate range M22, minimum to maximum normal hiring rate range of $3543 to $4212. 128 3.
