RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL CONFIRMING
THE ASSESSMENT REPORT OF THE COMMUNITY PRE-
SERVATION DEPARTMENT OFFICER OR EXPENSES
INCURRED IN THE ABATEMENT BY DEMOLITION OF
THE PREMISES LOCATED AT 409 E. FIFTH STREET,
SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, by
Resolution No. 85-133, found that the premises located at 409 E.
Fifth Street, Santa Ana, California, constitute a public nuisance
as defined in Santa Ana Municipal Code Section 17-1 and
authorized abatement by demolition within 60 days after adoption
of said resolution;
WHEREAS, the owner of the premises located at 409 E. Fifth
Street, Santa Ana, California, failed to abate the premises by
demolition within 60 days of the Resolution adopted by the City
Council;
WHEREAS, the Community Preservation Officer as authorized
by Section 17-25 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code obtained bids
for demolition of the premises located at 409 E. Fifth Street,
Santa Ana, California, and consequently awarded the bid on
February 28, 1986, to the Hintz Wrecking Company, Inc. for
demoliton and removal of the structure;
WHEREAS, the Community Preservation officer, pursuant to
Section 17-40 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code, filed with the
Clerk of the Council a written report (a copy of which is
attached to this resolution as Exhibit "A") of the expenses
incurred for demolition of the property located at 409 E. Fifth
Street, Santa Ana, California;
WHEREAS, the assessment report Exhibit "A" herein prepared
by the Community Preservation Officer was set for hearing review
and confirmation by the City Council on May 19, 1986;
WHEREAS, the City Council having reviewed the Community
Preservation Officer's Assessment Report Exhibit "A" herein
listing expenses of the demolition of the property located at 409
E. Fifth Street, Santa Ana, California, confirms said assessment
report.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA:
1. That the City Council after review of the assessment
report Exhibit "A" herein listing the expenses of the demolition
of the property located at 409 E. Fifth Street, Santa Ana,
California, confirms said report and assesses the amount of Six
Thousand Six Hundred Dollars ($6,600.00) against the property
located at 409 E. Fifth Street, Santa Ana, California, assessor's
parcel number 398-324-08 as same is shown on the last available
assessment roll for the cost of said demolition.

2. This assessment shall become due thirty (30) days after
adoption of this resolution and shall thereafter bear interest at
the rate of seven percent (7%) per year.
3. The Clerk fo the Council is directed to serve a copy of
this resolution to the owner of record Ms. Sally Perrie, P. O.
Box 11367, Zepher Cove, Nevada 89448, by certified mail, return
receipt requested.
