HomeMy WebLinkAbout86-043165 RESOLUTION NO. ~3-43 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 85-145 TO ADD THE UNREPRESENTED EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT CLASS OF ASSISTANT TO THE CITY MANAGER TO TEE CITY'S CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION PLAN FOR UNREPRESENTI~3 MANAGEMENT CLASSES WHEREAS, on December 3, 1985, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution No. 85-145, revising and reestablishing the basic compensation plan for classes of employment designated as Unrepresented Executive and Middle-Management; and WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Aha requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations and the approval of the City Council; and WHEREAS, the City Manager has proposed the establishment of a new position in the Office of the City Manager to strengthen the management and coordination of the City's public safety emergency management programs and activities; and WHEREAS, it is now desired to add a new executive-level management class at an appropriate level of compensation in order to properly classify and compensate said new position. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA: 1. That Section 3A of Resolution No. 86-145, is hereby amended by adding, in proper alphabetical sequence, the new class title of Assistant to the City Manager at Salary Rate Range M-32 and designating said new class as unrepresented Executive Management (EM). 2. That the Resolution shall be operative from and after May 16, 1986. ADOPTED this 19th day of ATTEST: Janice C.
