RESOLUTION NO. 86-82
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA ANA ESTABLISHING
A UNIFORM SCHEDULE OF FEES AND
REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 85-97
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Aha performs special services for the benefit of a
limited number of persons to ~hom such services are of value; and
WHEREAS, the cost of rendering such services should be borne by that limited
group ~ho are the beneficiaries rather than the citizenry at large; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion also that the charges established
for such services should equate to the direct cost thereof to the City of Santa Ana;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA:
That the follo~ng fees for services and miscellaneous sales are hereby fixed and
established, to be effective from and after the first day of July, 1986:

CULTURAL~ RECREATION AND COMMUNITY SERVICES AGENCY

*For group activities, those groups for which at least 51% of participants
either live or work in the City of Santa Aha, the resident rate shall be
applied.
From time to time, privately taught leisure and instructional classes will be offered
by various agency divisions. The announcement of same will be made by printed fliers
or in the quarterly Program Booklet mailed to each residence in the City. Programs
so offered will be conducted on a 4 to 10 week format. Charges for each class
offered will be established by the Executive Director, Cultural, Recreation and
Community Services Agency. The City of Santa Aha will receive 30% of the total fees
collected from each of these leisure or instructional classes.

Auditorium and all meeting room facilities may be reserved by
any group or organization, when dates are available. Official
City meetings, hearings or City-sponsored activities will receive
booking priority on any unbooked date. Groups renting a
facility (such as Jerome Center ~nnasium) for a public dance
will be required to obtain a Public Dance Permit and the
required security services from the Santa Ana Police Department~
at current hourly rates. (See: Police section of this

2. A cleaning deposit of $100 may be required for each Meeting Room
facility listed below, in addition to the rental charge.

Meeting Room Rental charges listed below are based upon events
charging no admission fee. Functions selling tickets for a set
fee or a donation will be charged the rates listed below (as a
minimum) or 10% of gross admission fees or donations collected,
whichever is greater.
Supervision is mandatory if facility use is beyond the
normal working hours of facility supervisors and may be
imposed for any use determined by the facility supervisor
to require such specific supervision.
All meeting rooms under Cultural, Recreation and Community Services Agency
supervision including, but not limited to, various rooms at the following facilities:
Bowers Museum, City Auditorium (City Hall Annex), Corbin Center, Recreation Centers:

Copies of maps, documents, graphs, or special work may be furnished upon the payment
of the cost of printing and preparation. For such items for which a regular
established price is unavailable, the Department Head, in collaboration ~th the
Director of Finance and Management Services, may establish a price consistent with
the cost of printing and preparation thereof. The Director of Finance and Management
Services shall report such exceptions to the City Manager. It shall be the
responsibility of the City Manager to review such costs annually and make such
recommendations to the City Council as required to keep the charges consistent with
the costs. All governmental agencies and their official representatives shall be
exempt from paying these charges for single copies for official use.
Resolution No. 85-97, adopted on August 19, 1985 is repealed.
