A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING THE APPLICATION
FOR BICYCLE AND/OR PEDESTRIAN FUNDS UNDER
SB 821 AND APPROVING THE ADOPTION OF ITS
BICYCLE AND/OR PEDESTRIAN PLAN.
WHEREAS, Senate Bill 821 provides that 2% of each
county's total local Transportation Fund be annually set aside
and used to fund the development of bicycle and pedestrian facil-
ities; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Aha has planned the improve-
ment of handicap access ramps to sidewalks in the City's downtown
in conformance with specifications of Caltrans' Planning and
Design Criteria for Bikeways in California and the Regional
Transportation Plan; and

WHEREAS, the City of Santa Aha desires to construct hah-
access ramps wlthin~the city utilizing the funds available
Senate Bill 821.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Santa
Aha does resolve as follows:
To Adopt the Handicap Access Improvement Program in
conformance with the specifications of Caltrans'
Planning and Design Criteria for Bikeways in
California and the Regional Transportation Plan.
2. To authorize David H. Grosse, Executive Director of
the Public Works Agency as the City's authorized
signature and designated contact person:

3. To apply for all funds available to the City of
Santa Aha allocated for Bikeways and Pedestrian
Facilities under Senate Bill 821.
