HomeMy WebLinkAbout86-095RESOLUTION NO. 86-95 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA REQUESTING THE ORANGE COUNTY TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION TO ALLOCATE ORANGE COUNTY UNIFIED TRANSPORTATION TRUST (OCUTT) FUNDS FOR FOURTH STREET BETWEEN SANTA ANA FREEWAY AND TUSTIN AVENUE. WHEREAS, Chapter 1512, Statues of 1985 allows the Orange County Transportation Commission to allocate funds from the rapid transit reserve to local agencies for the improvement, construc- tion, or repair of local streets and roads; and WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation Commission approved a $12 million OCUTT Streets and Roads Program on April 14, 1986 covering fiscal years 1986-87 through 1988-89; and WHEREAS, the three-year program includes $137,000 in fiscal year 1986-1987 for a street reconstruction project on Fourth Street between Santa Aha Freeway and Tustin Avenue. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the City Council of the City of Santa Ama hereby requests the Orange County Transporta- tion Commission allocate $7~200 for construction engineering and $103,000 for construction for a total of $ 110~200 in OCUTT funds to the City. This request is in conformance with the OCUTT allocation process and does not exceed ninety (90) peraent of the OCUTT allocation programmed for the projeat BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City of Santa Aha agrees to fund its share of the improvement costs in fiscal year 1986-1987 and any additional costs over the programmed OCUTT amount of $137~000. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City of Santa Aha has awarded the contract for the project on Fourth Street for $228,559.70. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City of Santa Aha has 1) designed the project improvements in accordance with the City's design standards, 2) acquired right-of-way for the project in conformance with the City's policies and procedures, and 3) eom- pleted and aertified all required environmental doaumentation for the project. RESOLUTION NO. 86-95 PAGE 2 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the remaining ten (10) per- cent in OCUTT funds will be transferred to the City of Santa Aha when construction is completed and a final report on the project is accepted by the Orange County Transportation Commission. The City of Santa Aha agrees to submit the final report to the Orange County Transportation Commission within ninety (90) days after the City's acceptance of the improvements.
