HomeMy WebLinkAbout85-036RESOLUTION NO. 85-36 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA ~ING RESOLUTION NO. 82-110 TO ADD SEVERAL NEW JOB CLASSES TO CLASSIFY ~ ~SATE NEW POSITIONS AUTHORIZED IN THE 1984-85 AI~NUAL BUDGET ~ TO EFFECT OTHER CHANGES TO THE CITY'S BASIC CLASSIFICATION ~ ODMPt~!SATION PLAN WHERKa_S, on August 2, 1982 the City Council passed and adopted Resolution No. 82-110 revising and re-establishing the basic Classification and Compensation Plan for Officers and t~aployees of the City of Santa Ana; and ~HEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Aha requires the City Manager to prepare, install and rnaintain a position classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations and the approval of the City Council; and WHEREAS, City Council has from time to time amended said Resolution; and WHEREAS, with the adoption of the 1984-85 Annual Budget, City Council approved the addition of new positions throughout the City organization, including a number of such positions which, due to significantly different duty, responsibility and qualification requirements, cannot be allocated to existing classes found in the City's Basic Classification and Compensation Plan (Resolution No: 82-110, as amended); and WHEREAS, it is now desired to add several new class titles, together with appropriate salary rate ranges, to the City's Basic Classification and Ccrrpensation Plan; designate one such new class as unrepresented Middle-Management (NM); change several class titles; and adjust the salary rate ranges for three existing classes. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA 1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 82-110, as amended, is hereby further amended by: a. Adding, in proper alphabetical sequence, the following class titles at the salary rate ranges as next thereto set out: Class Title Salary Rate Range No. (Min.-Max.) Designating the new class of F~nergency Medical Services Coordinator as unrepresented Middle-Management by adding the parenthetical identifier "(MM)" next to following the class title. c.
