AN~XDING RESOIJOTION NO. 82-110 TO ADD THE N~V CLASS TITLE
OF ASSISTANT t~VER~ PREPAREDNESS COORDINATOR TO THE
CITYIS BASIC CLASSIFICATION AbI) ODMPt~SATIGN PLAN
WHt~REAS, on August 2, 1982 the City Council passed and adopted
Resolution No. 82-110 revising and re-establishing the basic Classification and
Compensation Plan for Officers and Employees of the City of Santa Aha; and
I~tEKEAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of
Santa Ana requires the City Manager to prepare, install and nmintain a position
classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations and
the approval of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, City Council has from time to time amended said Resolution;
and
h~J~P~AS, in order to ensure continued eligiblity for match grant
funding from the California Office of Emergency Services for the City's
~nergency Preparedness (Disaster Services) Program, the City has agreed to
replace an existing middle-management class of Assistant Director of ~nergency
Preparedness (M~i) with a new, lower-paid non-umnagement classification,
effective July 1, 1985; and
WHEREAS, it is now desired to establish said new class at this time in
order to recl~lit and appoint an incumbent effective July 1, 1985.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COL~CIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 82-110, as amended, is hereby
further amended by:
a. Adding, in proper alphabetical sequence, the new class title
of ASSISTANT MVERGI~NCY PREPAREDNESS COORDINATOR at Salary Rate Range No. 461,
$1977-$2402 per menth, effective May 20, 1985.
b. Deleting, effective July 1, 1985, the existing class title of
Assistant Director of ~nergency Preparedness (M~i), $3622-$3994 per month.

That this Resolution shall be operative from end after May 20,
