RESOLUTION NO~ 85L131
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING EXECUTION
OF AN APPLICATION FOR A LOAN FROM THE
CALIFORNIA WATER RESOURCES CONTROL BOARD
WHEREAS, the Water Resources Control Board of the State
of California ("CWRCB") has created a fund under the Clean Water
Bond Law of 1984, California Water Code Section 13999 et seq. from
which local government may borrow for water conservati~h purposes;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana desires to apply to CWRCB
for a loan from said fund for the design and construction of the
Santa Ana Water Reclamation System.
BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana hereby authorizes application for a loan from the Water Recla-
mation Loan Program of the California State Water Resources Control
Board in the amount of Five Million Four Hundred Two Thousand Dol-
lars ($5,402,000.00) for the design and construction of the Santa
Ana Water Reclamation Project and authorizes execution of a loan
contract if a loan for this project is offered.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby
authorized to submit a loan application and negotiate and execute a
loan contract for this project for and on behalf of the City of
Santa Aha.
