HomeMy WebLinkAbout85-139 REL:adg-22 11/1/85 Rev. 12/2/85 RESOLUTION NO. 85-139 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana, after duly noticed public hearing, approved amendments to the General Plan of the City of Santa Ana as hereinafter set forth; and WHEREAS, this Council has reviewed and considered the initial environmental study and negative declaration prepared for such proposed General Plan amendments; and WHEREAS, this Council, after duly noticed public hear- ing, concurs in the Planning Commission's approval of said General Plan amendments; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: 1. The adoption of the said General Plan amendments will not have a significant effect on the environment, and the negative declaration prepared for said amendments is hereby approved. 2. The "Land Use Plan" of the Land Use Element of the General Plan of the City of Santa Ana is hereby amended in the following particulars: (a) The land use category of "Urban Center Residential" is established with a maximum density of 90 dwelling units per acre. (b) Minimum dwelling unit densities are eliminated from all residential land use categories. RESOLUTION NO. 85-139 PAGE TWO (c) Center" The following areas are redesignated land use category: to the "District (1) Those areas bordering on West Westminster Avenue/Seventeenth Street shown on Exhibit B, attached hereto and incorporated herein. (2) That area bordering on Newhope Street shown on Exhibit C, attached hereto and incorporated herein. (3) The area centered on Bristol Street between St. Andrews Place and Warner Avenue shown on Exhibit D, attached hereto and incorporated herein. (4) The area on the northeast corner of Bristol Street and Civic Center Drive shown on Exhibit E, attached hereto and incorporated herein. (d) The following areas are redesignated to the "Urban Center Residential" land use category: (1) The area bordering on Santa Ana Boulevard east of Spurgeon Street shown on Exhibit F, attached hereto and incorporated herein. (2) The area bounded by Chestnut Street, Orange Avenue, Walnut Street, and Standard Avenue, shown on Exhibit G, attached hereto and incorporated herein. (e) The area bordering on Civic Center Drive east of Riatt Street shown on Exhibit H, attached hereto and incor- porated herein, is redesignated to the "High Density Resi- dential'' land use category. (f) The following areas are redesignated to the "Medium-High Density Residential" land use category: RESOLUTION NO. 85- 139 PAGE THREE (1) Those areas bordering on South Broadway shown on Exhibit I, attached hereto and incorporated herein. (2) Those areas bordering on Euclid Street shown on Exhibit J, attached hereto and incorporated herein. (g) The area on the southwest corner of Fairhaven and Grand Avenues shown on Exhibit K, attached hereto and in- corporated herein, is redesignated to the "General Com- mercial" land use category.
