A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 82-110 TO ADD THE UNREPRESENTED MANAGE-
MENT CLASS OF ASSISTANT MUSUEM DIRECTOR TO THE CITY"S BASIC
CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION PLAN AND TO DELETE AN OBSOLETE
CLASS TITLE FROM SAID PLAN
WHEREAS, on August 2, 1982 the City Council passed and adopted
Resolution No. 82-110 revising and re-establishing the basic Classification
and Compensation Plan for officers and employees of the City of Santa Ana;
and
WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City
of Santa Ana requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a
position classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and
regulations and the approval of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, City Council has from time to time amended said
Resolution; and
WHEREAS, City Council has contracted for and received a
Feasibility Study for the Bowers Museum; and
WHEREAS, City Council now desires to implement certain staffing
recormnendations contained in the Feasibility Study for the Bowers Museum and
WHEREAS, it is now desired to add a new unrepresented
middle-management class at an appropri'ate salary level to the City's Basic
Classification and Compensation Plan and to delete an unused obsolete class
title from said Plan.
NOW~ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA:
1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 82-110, as amended, is hereby
further anmnded by:
a. Adding in proper alphabetical sequence, the following new
class title and assigning it to a two-year salary adjustment schedule as
next hereinafter set out:

Assistant Museum Director

b. Designating the new class of Assistant Museum Director as
unrepresented middle-management by adding the parenthetical designator (MM)
next to the class title.
c. Deleting the class title Museum Publicity Agent.
2. That this Resolution shall be operative from
November 1, 1985.
