A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA ANA REQUESTING THE
COUNTY OF ORANGE TO INCLUDE WITHIN THE
. ARTERIAL HIGHWAY FINANCING PROGRAM THE
REPA~IR AND RESURFACING OF CERTAIN
STREETS WITHIN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana desires to
improve certain: s~reets within ~the City; and,
WHEREAS, Articles 2 and 3 of Chapter 9, Division
2, of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of
California authorize a county to expend funds apportioned to
it out of the California Highway Users' Tax Fund for aid to
any city for the improvement, construction, or repair of
streets within such city; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County
of Orange intends to provide in the County budget of the
Special Road Improvement Fund for Fiscal Year 1986-87 a sum
of money for the improvement of streets within the
incorporated cities of the County in accordance with the
Orange County Arterial Highway Financing Program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA;
That'the City of Santa Aha does hereby request
the Board of Supervisors Of the County of Orange to allocate
to the City of Santa Ana in said budget for Fiscal Year
1986-87, from County funds, the amount of $961,500 for t:he
repair and resurfacing of certain streets, as follows:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board of
Supervisors of the County of Orange is hereby requested to
find that said work, in the manner provided, is in the
general interest of the County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that by this Resolution,
the City of Santa Aha agrees with the basic concepts of the
Arterial Highway Financing Program; and further agrees that
its share of the cost of improvements will be available for
the Fiscal Year 1986-87.
