RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE ISSUANCE
BY THE CITY OF SANTA ANA COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY OF ITS $20,000,000 CITY OF SANTA ANA
REDEVELOPMENT TAX ALLOCATION REFUNDING BONDS
1985 SERIES E, AND MAKING CERTAIN DETERMINATIONS
RELATING THERETO
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana Community Redevelopment
Agency (the "Agency") is a redevelopment agency duly created,
established and authorized to transact business and exercise
its powers, all under and pursuant to the Community
Redevelopment Law (Part 1 of Division 24 (commencing with
Section 33000) of the Health and Safety Code of the State of
California) and the powers of the Agency include the power to
issue bonds for any of its corporate purposes; and
WHEREAS, a Redevelopment Plan for the Santa Ana
Redevelopment Project has been adopted and approved by
Ordinance No. 1173 of the City of Santa Ana (the "City"), which
became effective on August 1, 1973, and which was amended by
Ordinance No. 1258 of the City which became effective on
July 2, 1975 and all requirements of law for and precedent to
the adoption and approval of said Redevelopment Plan have been
duly complied with; and
WHEREAS, the Agency has adopted its Resolution
entitled:
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE ISSUANCE
BY THE CITY OF SANTA ANA COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY OF ITS $20,000,000 CITY OF SANTA ANA
REDEVELOPMENT TAX ALLOCATION REFUNDING BONDS
1985 SERIES E, AND MAKING CERTAIN DETERMINATIONS
RELATING THERETO
WHEREAS, under and pursuant to the above referenced
Resolution, the Agency has authorized the issuance of
$20,000,000 City of Santa Ana Community Redevelopment Agency,
City of Santa Ana Redevelopment Project Tax Allocation
Refunding Bonds 1985 Series E (the "Bonds");
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Approval of Issuance of Bonds. The City
Council hereby approves the issuance of the Bonds in order to
aid in the refunding of a contractual obligation of the Agency
and for other purposes related thereto, all of which constitute
a "redevelopment activity", as such term is defined in Health
and Safety Code Section 33678, pursuant to the terms of the
Agency Resolution referenced in the recitals hereof.
Section 2. Effective Date. This Resolution shall
take effect upon adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of December
1985.
