RESOLUTION 87-23
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING
AN APPLICATION TO THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
FOR SENIOR SHARED HOUSING GRANT FUNDS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana
recognizes the need for housing assistance for the community's
senior citizens; and
WHEREAS, funds have been established by the State of
California pursuant to Senate Bill 19, Chapter 1307 of the
Statutes of 1983 (health and Safety Code, Section 50533
et.seq.), and are available through the California Department of
Housing and Community Development for matched fund grants to
local governments conducting Senior Shared Housing Programs;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS:
1. The City Council authorized the application for
$50,000 in matched funds for the operation of the Senior Shared
Housing Program from July 1987 to June 1989, from the California
Department of Housing and Community Development to further
implement the City of Santa Ana's Senior Shared Housing Program.
2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed
to execute all necessary documents in regard to the application
for matching grant funds.
ADOPTED this 16th day of March , 1987.
