REGULAR MEETING OF MAY 23, 2001
The following corrections were made: Director Burrier-Lund had left before
the One Stop Capital Shop vote took place, and Director Garza noted that
it is the Small Business Development Center, not Small Business
Administration that should be referenced on same item.
RECORDING SECRETARY POSTING REPORT
The following notices were posted pursuant to the Brown Act. Corporation Agendas
and Notices are posted on the door of the City Council Chambers at 22 Civic Center
Plaza.
Motion: Instruct the Recording Secretary to enter notice of posting into the
Minutes.

STRATEGIC PLANNING RETREAT
The chair created an ad hoc Task Force to review the authority of the
program committees and job description of Empowerment Zone Manager.
The Task Force will return in September with recommendations on
general role description for board, city and committees. The members of
the ad doc Task Force are Paul Garza, Fernando Cibrian, Linda Sanchez-
Valentine, David Ream and David Armijo.
The acting chair created an ad hoc Taskforce to review and develop
recommendations on the priority of goals. They will report
recommendations at the regularly scheduled meeting of September. The
ad hoc taskforce includes board members Ream, Garza, Reyna, Metzler,
and two program committee Chairs or Co Chairs to be selected by the
Chairs and Co Chairs.
