HomeMy WebLinkAbout87-073RESOLUTION NO. 87-73 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY SANTA ANA AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 82-110 TO ADD TWO NEW CLASS TITLES TO THE CITY'S BASIC CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION PLAN FOR NON-MANAGEMENT CLASSES OF EMPLOYMENT WMEREAS, on August 2, 1982 the City Resolution No. 82-110 revising and Classification and Compensation Plan for employment for the City of Santa Ana; and Council passed and adopted re-establishing the Basic Non-Management classes of WHEREAS, Section 1004 Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Ana requires the City Manager to prepare, install amd' maintain a position classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations and the approval of the City Council; and WHEREAS, City Council has from time to time amended said Resolution; and WHEREAS, with the adoption of the annual budget for Fiscal Year 1987-88, the City Council authorized certain organizational and staffing changes which require the addition of two new classes to the City's Basic Classification and Compensation 'Plan in order to properly classify and compensate several restructured positions; and WHEREAS, it is now desired to amend said Resolution to add two new classes at appropriate salary levels. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA: I. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 82-110, as amended, is hereby further amended by adding, in proper alphabetical sequence, the following class titles at the salary rate range as next thereto set out: Class Title Salary Rate Range No. (Min.-Max.) Building Inspection Technician 467 ($2037-$2475) Inspections Training Coordinator 507 ($2475-$3010) 2. That this Resolution shall be operative August 1, 1987.
