A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
AMENDING RESOLUTION NOS. 82-110 AND 87-95 TO CHANGE SEVI~AL
CLASS TITLES AND ADJUST THE SALARY LEVELS FOR THREE
CLASSIFICATIONS.
[flfl~KEAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City
of Santa Ana requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain
a position classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and
regulations and the approval of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, on August 2, 1982, the City Council passed and adopted
Resolution No. 82-110 revising and re-establishing the Basic
Classification and Compensation Plan for Officers and Employees of the
City of Santa Ana; and, on December 21, 1987, passed and adopted
Resolution No. 87-95, re-establishing the Compensation Plan for classes
of employment designated as unrepresented executive and middle
management; and
I~rlI~RFAS, it is now desired to amend said Resolutions in order to
(1) properly compensate the existing classes of Budget Analyst II,
Housing Development Coordinator and Zoo Animal Registrar at levels
commensurate with assigned duties and responsibilities; and (2) change
five class titles at no change in currently assigned salary levels.
NOW, THEP. EFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OE SANTA ANA:
1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 82-110, as amended, is
hereby further amended by:
a. Changing the salary rate ranges assigned to the following
class titles, as shown next hereto:

b. Changing the existing class titles as indicated
below, at no change in currently assigned salary level:

2. That Section 3B of Resolution No. 87-95 pertaining to
Middle-Management classes of employment is hereby amended by changing the
existing class titles of Building Safety Director (MM) and Planning
Director (~94) to Building Safety Manager (~q) and Planning Manager (]44)
respectively, at no change in currently assigned salary levels.
3. That except as amended by this Resolution, all other
provisions of Resolution Nos. 82-110 and 87-95 shall remain in full force
and effect.
4. That this Resolution shall be operative from and after
November 1, 1988.
