HomeMy WebLinkAbout88-089 ,. lON NO. 5 0 3 A RF_MOLUTION OF THE CITY C(YONCIL OF TH~ CITY OF SANTA ANA AMI~IDING RMSOLUTION NO. 87-95 TO ADD TH~ NEP/ F00~PT FXECUTIVE MANAGI~II~NT CLASS OF ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER WHERFAS, on December 21, 1987, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution No. 87-95, re-establishing the Classification and Compensation Plan for classes of employment designated as unrepresented executive and middle- management; and ~FAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Ana requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations and the approval of the City Council; and ~IEREAS, the City Manager has identified a need to establish a new executive level position to assist in ensuring consistencies and coordination of the City's capital improvement and community development programs and in the achievement of long-term development goals; and ~FAS, it is now desired to amend said Resolution to add a new exempt executive management classification at an appropriate salary level. N~, THI~EFO~, BE IT~L~ BY ~ CITY C~CIL OF ~ CI~OF SANTA ANA: 1. That Section 5A of Resolution No. 87=9S, as amended, which pertains to Executive Management classes of employment, is hereby further amended by adding, in proper alphabetical sequence, the new class title of ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER and assigning said new class to Salary Rate Range No. 'N-SO" which includes a minimum to maximum hiring rate range of $4982 to $S923 per month. 2. That this Resolution shall be operative from and after January 1, 1989.
