RESOLUTION NO. 88-82
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING THE PROPOSED
AMENDMENT TO THE 1985 ORANGE COUNTY SOLID
WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach has requested the County of Orange
to amend the current County of Orange Solid Waste Management Plan to
include a recycling center/refuse transfer station in Newport Beach; and
WHEREAS, the establishment of a refuse transfer station will result in
net cost savings in collection and disposal costs for the City of Newport
Beach; and
WHEREAS, the proposed amendment encourages individual cities' efforts
to provide facilities and equipment for more efficient transfer of trans-
ferable waste generated within their jurisdictions;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA that the proposed amendment to the 1985 Orange County Solid Waste
Management Plan is hereby approved by the City of Santa Ana
