RESOLUTION NO. 89-29
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA EXTEND-
ING THE WASHINGTON SQUARE PERMIT
PARKING DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, Article XI (commencing with section 36-480
of Chapter 36 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code provides for the
establishment and regulation of permit parking districts; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana,
by its resolution No. 87-57, dated July 7, 1987, established
the Washington Square Permit Parking District; and
WHEREAS, section 7 of said Resolution No. 87-57 pro-
vided that the Washington Square Permit Parking District shall
terminate on January 7, 1989 unless extended by resolution of
the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does now desire to rescind
the aforesaid termination date and allow the Washington Square
Permit Parking District to continue in effect;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA ANA that the January 7, 1989 termination date
for the Washington Square Permit Parking District, as set forth
in Resolution No. 87-57, is hereby rescinded, and said district
shall continue in effect until such time as it may be terminated
in accordance with the procedures set forth in Article XI of
Chapter 36 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code.
