RESOLUTION NO. 89-53
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING THE EXECU-
TIVE DIRECTOR OF THE PUBLIC WORKS AGENCY
TO APPLY FOR STATE - LOCAL TRANSPORTATION
DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM FUNDS, AND TO EXE-
CUTE AN AGREEMENT FOR THE USE OF SUCH
FUNDS, ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA.
WHEREAS, in 1988 the State of California enacted the
Deddeh Transportation Improvement and Reform Act (1988 Statutes,
Chapter 24), which included provision for a State - Local Trans-
portation Demonstration Program, whereby State funds are to be
appropriated in the 1990-91 fiscal year to share in the cost of
eligible transportation improvement projects undertaken by
approved local government applicants;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA ANA that the Exeutive Director of the Public
Works Agency of the City of Santa Ana is hereby authorized to
apply, on behalf of the City of Santa Ana, for all funds avail-
able to the City for eligible transportation ~mprovement projects
under the abovesaid program, and to take all actions and sign all
documents pertaining to such application on behalf of~ the City
of Santa Ana, and to execute, on behalf of the City of'Santa Ana,
an agreement for the use of such funds as may be granted to the
City of Santa Ana.
