RESOLUTION NO 89-0~
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING THE
FINAL DRAFT 1989 ORANGE COUNTY SOLID
WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN
WHEREAS, the intent of the Orange County Solid Waste
Management Plan is to protect and enhance Orange County's
environment and resource through proper solid waste management
planning and practices; and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Solid Waste Management Plan
emphasizes intergovernmental cooperation, private citizen and
industry involvement, identification, coordination and funding of
public and private agency responsibilities, activities and
alternatives, and providing for the ability and flexibility to
take advantage of opportunities and breakthroughs as they occur in
the solid waste management field;
WHEREAS, the Orange County Solid waste Management Plan
is the result of a comprehensive review and revision process that
involved input from multijurisdictional public agencies, private
industry and the public;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA ANA that the Final Draft 1989 Orange County
Solid Waste Management Plan is hereby approved by the City of
Santa Ana
