A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING
REVISED CONFLICT OF INTEREST CODES
FOR THE VARIOUS OFFICES, DEPARTMENTS
AND AGENCIES OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana,
by its Resolution No. 87-81, adopted October 19, 1987, directed
the revision of the Conflict of Interest Codes of the various
offices, departments, and agencies of the City of Santa Ana
in accordance with the Political Reform Act of 1974, and
sub-
WHEREAS, each such office, department or agency
has prepared such a revised Conflict of Interest Code and
mitted it to this Council for approval;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS:
1. Each of the divisions of the administrative staff
of the City of Santa Ana which is specified in the resolution
shall be deemed an "agency" of the City of Santa Ana within
the meaning of the Political Reform Act of 1974, Chapter 7,
Article 3. The specification of such agencies in this resolu-
tion supersedes the listing of agencies in Resolution No. 87-81
to the extent of any inconsistency therewith.
2. The Conflict of Interest Code of the Office of the
City Manager set forth in Exhibit A, attached hereto and
incorporated herein, is hereby approved.
3. The Conflict of Interest Code of the Office of the
Clerk of the Council set forth in Exhibit B, attached hereto
and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.
4. The Conflict of Interest Code of the Office of
the City Attorney set forth in Exhibit C, attached hereto and
incorporated herein, is hereby approved.
5. The Conflict of Interest Code of the Finance and
Management Services Agency set forth in Exhibit D, attached
hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.
6. The Conflict of Interest Code of the Personnel Services
Department set forth in Exhibit E, attached hereto and incorporated
herein, is hereby approved.
7. The Conflict of Interest Code of the Public Works
Agency set forth in Exhibit F, attached hereto and incorporated
herein, is hereby approved.

8. The Conflict of Interest Code of the Planning and
Building Safety Agency set forth in Exhibit G, attached hereto
and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.
9. The Conflict of Interest Code of the Recreation
and Community Services Agency set forth in Exhibit H, attached
hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.
10. The Conflict of Interest Code of the Community
Development Agency set forth in Exhibit I, attached hereto
and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.
11. The Conflict of Interest Code of the Library Depart-
ment set forth in Exhibit J, attached hereto and incorporated
herein, is hereby approved.
12. The Conflict of Interest Code of the Police Depart-
ment set forth in Exhibit K, attached hereto and incorporated
herein, is hereby approved.
13. The Conflict of Interest Code of the Fire Department
set forth in Exhibit L, attached hereto and incorporated
herein, is hereby approved.
14. Each designated employee who is required to file a
Statement of Economic Interests pursuant to a Conflict of
Interest Code shall file such Statement of Economic Interests
with the head of the agency in which such designated employee
is employed. The originals of Statements of Economic Interests
filed by designated employees other than the head of the agency
and a photo-copy of the Statement of Economic Interests of the
head of the agency shall be retained in the files of the agency
as public records until such time as their destruction may be
authorized by this Council in accordance with the requirements
of law. The original of the Statement of Economic Interests of
the head of the agency shall be forwarded to the Clerk of the
Council, who shall, on behalf of the City Council, retain such
Statements of Economic Interests in the files of the Clerk of
the Council as public records until such time as their destruc-
tion may be authorized by the City Council in accordance with
the requirements of law. This section is intended to imple-

forth in regulation 18730 of the Fair Political Practices Com-
mission and incorporated by reference into the Conflict of
Interest Codes approved by this Resolution.
