RESOLUTION NO.90~85
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER AND CITY ATTORNEY TO DIS-
CLOSE INFORMATION FROM CLOSED SESSION AS
DEEMED NECESSARY OR APPROPRIATE
WHEREAS, Santa Ana Municipal Code § 2-108 prohibits
disclosure of the content or substance of any discussion dur-
ing closed sessions of the City Council without authorization
of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, in order to properly perform their duties,
the City Manager and City Attorney may be required to act as
a result of closed session discussions; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires by this resolution
to authorize the City Manager and City Attorney to disclose
the content or substance of any discussion which took place
in closed sessions as they or either of them deem necessary
in order to perform their duties.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA that:
1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to dis-
close the content or substance of any conversation which took
place in closed session as he or she deems necessary or appro-
priate in fulfilling the duties of his or her office.
2. The City Attorney is hereby authorized to dis-
close the content or substance of any conversation which took
place in closed session as he or she deems necessary or appro-
priate in fulfilling the duties of his or her office.
3. In exercising the authority hereinabove granted,
the city Manager and City Attorney shall be prudent, cautious,
and act in the best interests of the City.
