RESOLUTION NO. 90- 111
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA AMENDING RESOLUTIONS NOS. 84-99,
88-67 AND 90-082 RELATING TO TERMS OF OFFICE
OF THE SANTA ANA HUMAN RELATIONS COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana
established the Human Relations Commission (" Commission") by
Resolution No. 84-99; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 88-67, the City Council
conformed the appointments, removals, vacancies and terms of office
of members of the Commission with Section 901 of the Charter of the
City of Santa Ana; and
WHEREAS, the City Council amended the resolutions
establishing the Commission and providing for the appointments,
removals, vacancies and terms of office to add two (2) additional
members to the Commission by Resolution No. 90-082; and
WHEREAS, the city Council now desires to amend these
resolutions to have the terms of all Commissioners expire on the
same day and month as the terms of councilmembers.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA that Section 9.b of Resolution No. 90-082 is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"9.b. Except for the Senior Coramissioners, who
shall serve for a term of two (2) years, all other
members of the Commission shall serve for a term of four
(4) years. All Commissioners shall serve until their
respective successors are appointed and qualified, but in
no event shall any person be eligible for reappointment
who has served two (2)consecutive terms of four years
each. The terms of all Commissioners shall expire on the
same day and month as the terms of councilmembers."
