HomeMy WebLinkAbout91-077297 RESOLUTION NO. 91- 077 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA FIXING AND ESTABLISHING THE COMPENSATION FOR THE OFFICE OF CITY ATTORNEY OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, AND ~REPEALING RESOLUTIONS INCONSISTENT THEREWITH EJC:ar 7/26/91 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA: 1. That the salary for the office of the city Attorney of the City of Santa Aha is hereby fixed and established at the salary rate in the city of Santa Ana Schedule of Salary Ranges for unrepresented Executive and Middle-Management Classes of Employment on the effective date as herein set forth: Salary Rate Effective Date M40 Step 15 9/1/91 2. That said salary shall be paid in the same manner and at the same time as other monthly salaries in the City are paid. 3. In addition to the salary hereinabove fixed and established for said office, said officer shall receive, as additional compensation, the following employee benefits: (a) Retirement. The terms of the existing contract betweenthe.'C~t~ ~nd ~he California Public Employees' Retirement System (PERS) governing the retirement benefits for affected employees, as amended', are incorporated herein by reference, and the City shall continue to make contributions to PERSin accordance with said contract as amended for said officer at the same rate the City provides for the class designated as Executive Management ( "EM" ) . (b) Deferred Compensation. Said officer shall receive the same deferred compensation, upon the same terms and conditions, as provided the class designated as Executive Management. (c) Health and Dental Insurance. Said officer shall receive the same health and dental benefits, upon the same terms and conditions, as provided the class designated as Executive Management. (d) Disability Insurance. The City shall pay the full premium for a long-term disability insurance plan for said officer. 298 RESOLUTION NO. 91- 077 PAGE TWO (e) Life Insurance. The City shall provide the same life insurance coverage for said officer, upon the same terms and conditions, as provided the class designated as Executive Management. (f) Holidays. Said officer shall receive the same holidays, upon the same terms and conditions, as provided the class designated as Executive Management. (g) Vacation and Option. Said officer shall receive vacation benefits and vacation pay option, as provided in the class designated as Executive Management, except may accrue earned vacation time to an unlimited level. (h) Carry-Over Benefits. In addition to the benefits specified in subparagraphs (a) through (g) hereinabove, said officer shall continue to receive any and all employee benefits accorded unrepresented executive management employees of the City who are miscellaneous members of PERS, except said officer shall not be entitled to participate in the management performance bonus plan or receive an automobile allowance. 4. Any other resolution of the City Council inconsistent with this Resolution is hereby repealed. ADOPTED this 5th day of August , 1991_.
