RESOLUTION NO. 91- 079
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
AMENDING RESOLUTION 91-066 TO ADD A SPECIAL COMPENSATION
PROVISION
WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the city Charter of
the City of Santa Aha requires the City Manager to prepare,
install and maintain a position classification and pay plan
subject to civil service rules and regulations and the
approval of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, on July 1, 1991 the City Council passed and
adopted Resolution No. 91-066, re-establishing the Basic
Compensation Plan for classes of employment designated as
unrepresented Executive and Middle-Management; and
WHEREAS, the Fire Chief has identified the need for a
temporary special assignment pay for the Assistant Fire
Marshal (MM) who is temporarily serving as Acting Fire
Marshal; and
WHEREAS, it is now desired to amend Resolution No. 91-
066 in order to effect this change.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA:
1. That Resolution No. 91-066 be amended by adding in
proper numerical sequence a new Section 4.3 to read:
"The incumbent in the classification Assistant Fire
Marshal, who at the discretion of the Fire Chief is
serving in an acting capacity as the City's Fire
Marshal, will be paid at a rate set ten (10) salary rate
ranges (five per cent) above his current base salary
range for the remainder of the fiscal year or the return
or appointment of a regular fire marshal whichever
occurs first."

2. That this Resolution shall be operative from and
after August 16, 1991.
