RESOLUTION NO. 93-062
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA AGREEING THAT THE ALTERNATIVE
METHOD OF DISTRIBUTION OF PROPERTY TAX LEVIES
AND ASSESSMENTS BE APPLICABLE TO TAX LEVIES
MADE BY THE COUNTY OF ORANGE ON BEHALF OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA.
WHEREAS, on or about June 29, 1993, the County of Orange
intends to make the election provided in Chapter 3 (commencing with
Section 4701) of Part 8 of Division 1 of the Revenue and Taxation
Code which authorizes an alternative method for the distribution of
property tax levies and assessments on the secured roll for the
1993/94 fiscal year and years thereafter as well as for
delinquencies for prior fiscal years; and
WHEREAS, the County is prohibited from using such alternative
method unless public districts for which the County treasury is not
the legal depositary agree thereto by resolution of the public
district's governing body adopted not later than July 15, 1993; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana desires to have the provisions
of said alternative method made applicable to distributions made to
the City of Santa Ana.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA that upon the County's election to implement the
alternative method of distribution authorized by Chapter 3, Part 8
of Division 1 of the Revenue and Taxation Code, the City Council
hereby agrees that said alternative method of distribution of
property tax levies and assessments adopted by the County of Orange
shall be applicable to the City of Santa Ana.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Council is hereby
directed to transmit a copy of this resolution to the Clerk of the
Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange.
