Home My WebLink About94-008 - Approving Revised Conflict of Interest Codes for Various OfficesRESOLUTION NO. 94- 008 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING REVISED CONFLICT OF INTEREST CODES FOR THE VARI- OUS OFFICES, DEPARTMENTS AND AGENCIES OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA WHEREAS, pursuant to the Political Reform Act of 1974 (California Government Code sections 81000 et seq.), the various offices, departments and agencies of the administrative staff of the City of Santa Ana have adopted Conflict of Interest Codes designating those officers and employees which are required to file economic disclosure statements and the types of economic interests which are required to be disclosed; and WHEREAS, such Conflict of Interest Codes need periodic updating to reflect changes in titles and duties of officers and employees in the service of the City; and WHEREAS, the executive officers of the City have submitted revised Conflict of Interest Codes for their respective offices, departments, and agencies to the City Council for approval as the code reviewing body under the said Political Reform Act; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: 1. The Conflict of Interest Code of the office of the city Manager set forth in Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved. 2. The Conflict of Interest Code of the Office of the Clerk of the Council set forth in Exhibit B, attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved. 3. The Conflict of Interest Code of the Office of the City Attorney set forth in Exhibit C, attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved. 4. The Conflict of Interest Code of the Finance and Management Services Agency set forth in Exhibit D, attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved. 5. The Conflict of Interest Code of the Personnel Services Department set forth in Exhibit E, attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved. RESOLUTXO 94-008 2 43 Page 2 6. The Conflict of Interest Code of the Public Works Agency set forth in Exhibit F, attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved. 7. The Conflict of Interest Code of Building Safety Agency set forth in Exhibit G, incorporated herein, is hereby approved. the Planning and attached hereto and 8. The Conflict of Interest Code of the Recreation and Community Serwices Agency set forth in Exhibit H, attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved. 9. The Conflict of Interest Code of the Community Develop- ment Agency set forth in Exhibit I, attached hereto and incorporat- ed herein, is hereby approved. 10. The Conflict of Interest Code of the Library Department set forth in Exhibit J, attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved. 11. The Conflict of Interest Code of the Police Department set forth in Exhibit K, attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved. 12. The Conflict of Interest Code of the Fire Department set forth in Exhibit L, attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved. 13. Each of the divisions of the administrative staff of the City of Santa Ana which is specified in the resolution shall be deemed an "agency" of the city of Santa Ana within the meaning of the Political Reform Act of 1974, Chapter 7, Article 3. The specification of such agencies in this resolution supersedes the listing of such agencies in previous resolutions of this Council to the extent of any inconsistency therewith. 14. Each designated employee who is required to file a Statement of Economic Interests pursuant to a Conflict of Interest Code shall file such Statement of Economic Interests with the head of the agency in which such designated employee is employed. The originals of Statements of Economic Interests filed by designated employees other than the head of the agency and a photo-copy of the Statement of Economic Interests of the head of the agency shall be retained in the files of the agency as public records until such time as their destruction may be authorized by this Council in accordance with the requirements of law. The original of the Statement of Economic Interests of the head of the agency shall be forwarded to the Clerk of the Council, who shall, on behalf of the City Council, retain such Statements of Economic Interests in the files of the Clerk of the Council as public records until such time as their destruction may be authorized by the City Council in accordance with the requirements of law.
