RESOLUTION NO. 95- 024
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING THE
SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION TO THE
UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND
URBAN DEVELOPMENT FOR GRANT FUNDS TO
CONTROL LEAD-BASED PAINT HAZARD
WHEREAS, the United States Department of Housing and Urban
Development offers a grant program to provide funds for the
abatement of lead-based paint hazard in housing which is affordable
to persons and families of low- and moderate-income; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana desires to participate in such
grant program in order to abate lead-based paint hazard in low- and
moderate-income housing in conjunction with its other "Weed and
Seed" area programs;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA that the Executive Director of the Community
Development Agency of the city of Santa Ana is authorized to apply,
on behalf of the City of Santa Ana, to the United State Department
of Housing and Urban Development for funds under the abovesaid
grant program, and to execute, on behalf of the City, all documents
pertaining to the submittal and acceptance of said application.
