RESOLUTION NO. 94-025
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING THE EXPANSION OF THE
ENTERPRISE ZONE
WHEREAS, the State of California has designated certain areas within
the City of Santa Ana as an Enterprise Zone; and
WHEREAS, the establishment of the Enterprise Zone within the City of
Santa Ana has provided employment assistance to the City's lower income residents
and unemployed, attracted new private investment, and created tax revenues to the
City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council now desires to expand the Enterprise Zone
by up to fifteen percent;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: ,
1. The City Council directs City staff to prepare all documents required
to expand the Enterprise Zone in accordance with process required by the
California State Department of Trade and Commerce Enterprise Zone program.
2. The City Council authorizes the City Manager or his designee(s) to
submit the request for Enterprise Zone expansion to the California State
Department of Trade and Commerce for approval of the expanded area, and further
authorizes the City Manager or his designee(s) to take all necessary actions and
execute all necessary agreements and other documents required for said Department
to receive and approve such Enterprise Zone expansion request.
