A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA TO AMEND RESOLUTION NOS. 82-110
AND 91~066 TO PROVIDE AN EQUITY ADJUSTIVIENT FOR
THE CLASSIFICATION OF POLICE COMMUNICATIONS
MANAGER (RM).
WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Ava requires
the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position classification and pay plan subject
to civil service rules and regulations and the approval of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, on August 2, 1982, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution No. 82-
110 revising and re-establishing the Basic Compensation Plan for Officers and Employees of the
City of Santa Aha; and on July 1, 1991, passed and adopted Resolution No. 91-066, re-
establishing the Basic Compensation Plan for classes of employment designated as unrepresented
executive and middle management; and
WHEREAS, the findings of a compensation study conducted by the Personnel Services
Department at the request of the Police Chief show the need to provide an equity adjustment for
the classification of Police Communications Manager (RM); and
WHEREAS, it is now desired to amend said Resolutions to effect these changes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA:
1. That Section 3B of Resolution 91-066, as amended, be further amended by deleting the
classification of Police Communications Manager (RM) from this Resolution, to transfer it to
Resolution No. 82-110.
2. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 82-110, as amended, be further amended by adding the
existing title of Police Communications Manager (RM), transferred from Resolution No. 91-066,
and providing an equity salary adjustment from Salary Rate Range No. M635 ($4624-$5356) to
Salary Rate Range No. M645 ($4858-$5623).
3. That except as amended by this Resolution, all other provisions of Resolution Nos. 82-110
and 91-066 shall remain in full force and effect.

That this Resolution shall be operative from and after July 1, 1995.
