RESOLUTION NO. 95-032
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR
BICYCLE AND/OR PEDESTRIAN FUNDS UNDER THE
ORANGE COUNTY BICYCLE AND PEDESTRIAN
FACILITIES PROGRAM AND APPROVING THE ADOPTION
OF ITS BICYCLE AND/OR PEDESTRIAN PLAN.
WHEREAS, the Bicycle and Pedestrian Facilities Program
provides that two percent of each county's total Local
Transportation Fund be annually set aside and used to fund the
development of bicycle and pedestrian facilities; and
WHEREAS, the city of Santa Ana has planned a bikeway system in
conformance with specifications of Caltrans' Planning and DesiGn
Criteria for Bikeways in California and the Regional Transportation
Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana desires to construct the master
bikeway system within their city utilizing the funds available
under the Bicycle and Pedestrian Facilities Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the city of Santa Ana does
resolve as follows:
To construct the City of Santa Ana's Bikeway System in
conformance with the specifications of Caltrans' Planning
and DesiGn Criteria for Bikeways in California and the
Regional Transportation Plan.
To authorize the Executive Director of the Public Works
Agency as the city's authorized signature and designated
contact person;
RESOLUTION 95-032
To apply for all funds available to the City of Santa Ana
allocated for Bikeways and Pedestrian Facilities.
