RESOLUTION NO. 95-0 57
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING CONDITIONAL
USE PERMIT NO. 95-12 TO ALLOW A COMMER-
CIAL TRAVEL AGENCY AT 2911 SOUTH CRODDY
WAY
WHEREAS, this Council held a public hearing on September 5,
1995, on Conditional Use Permit Application No. 95-12, to allow a
commercial travel agency at 2911 South Croddy Way in the Mi
District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS:
1. Based upon the evidence submitted at the abovesaid
hearing, this Council finds and determines as follows:
a. The subject travel agency is a service that contributes to
the general well-being of the community. Its relocation upon the
expiration of this conditional use permit will assure that the
integrity of the industrial use district in maintained in the long
run.
b. The subject travel agency is not detrimental to the
health, safety or general welfare of persons working in the
vicinity.
c. Because of the required relocation of the travel agency
upon the expiration of this conditional use permit, it will not
affect the present or future economic stability and development of
the area.
d. The travel agency will comply with all applicable
regulations and conditions.
e. Because of the required relocation of the travel agency
upon the expiration of this conditional use permit, it will not
adversely affect the general plan's industrial designation of the
area.
2. Conditional Use Permit No. 95-12 is hereby approved
subject to the conditions set forth in Exhibit A, attached hereto
and incorporated herein, and subject to the further limitation that
said Conditional Use Permit shall expire on February 28, 1999, and
be of no further force or effect thereafter.

CONDITIONS O? APPROVAL
Should Appeal No. 95-1 be approved, the project shall comply with all applicable
sections of the Santa Ana Municipal Code, the California Administrative Code, the
Uniform Fire Code, the Uniform Building code and all other applicable regulations.
In addition, it shall meet the following conditions:

The transformer located within the front landscaped setback shall be screened
from public view per code.

Ail signage on the project site shall be brought into conformance with the
Santa Ana Municipal Code.
Staging, parking or dispatching tour vans or buses shall be prohibited from
this site or vicinity.
Public Works
Prior to commencement of operation, complete the following:
Remove the existing Title 24 (Disabled Access Requirement) disabled access
striping from the existing southerly drive approach on Croddy Way'.
~olice Department
The existing suite and parking lot, within 60 feet of the proposed suite,
must conform with the provisions of Chapter 8, Article II, Division 3 of the
Santa Aha Municipal Code (Building Security Ordinance). These code
conditions will require that the existing projects lighting, door/window
locking d~vices and addressing be upgraded to current code standards.
Lighting standards cannot be located in required landscape planters.
