RESOLUTION NO. 95- 080
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE
PUBLIC WORKS AGENCY TO SUBMIT A GRANT APPLICATION
FOR THE WARNER AVENUE BRIDGE PROJECT TO THE ORANGE
COUNTY TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY FOR FUNDING UNDER
THE COMBINED TRANSPORTATION FUNDING PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana desires to implement the Warner Avenue
Bridge project; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana has been declared by the Orange County
Transportation Authority to meet the eligibility requirements to receive Measure
M "turnback" funds; and
WHEREAS, the Circulation Element of the City of Santa Ana's General Plan
is consistent with the County of Orange Master Plan of Arterial Highways; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana will provide matching funds for each project
as required by the Orange County Transportation Funding Program Procedures
Manual; and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation Authority intends to allocate
funds for transportation improvement projects within the incorporated cities and
the County;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
that the City Council hereby requests the Orange County Transportation Authority
to allocate to the City of Santa Ana from the co~ined Transportation Funding
Programs those funds in the amounts specified in the City of Santa Ana's
application for the Warner Avenue Bridge project in fiscal years 1998-1999 and
1999-2000, and the Executive Director of the Public Works Agency of the City of
Santa Ana is authorized to submit said application on behalf of the City.
