MINUTES APPROVAL On motion of Counc~lm~u Hubbard, sec- onded by Councilman Brewer and carried, the City Council approved the Minutes of the regular meeting held March 4, BID AWARD - ROT.T.~R On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Councilman Brewer and carried, Council received and ordered filed a report of bids received for an 8 to 12 Ton Roller, approved award of contract to Warnock-Bancroft Equip- ment Co., in the amount of $8,222.45 less $1500 trade-in; and rejected all other bids. BID AWARD - VALVES On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Councilmen Brewer and carried, Council extended to April l, 1963 the bid opening date for the furnishing of valve requirements for Fiscal Year 1963. City Council - 5~ - March 18, 1963 BID AWARD On motion of Coun¢i'l',=s~ Brewer, seconded TRAFFIC SIGNALS by Counc~lmsu Hubbard and carried, Council received and ordered filed a report of bids received for the instal- lation of traffic signals for 17th and Santiago, 17th and Bristol, Bolsa and Euclid, 4th and Tustin, ~arbor and Talbert, and Fairview and 5th; approved award of the contract at unit prices to Walt's Electric Company in the amount of $63,288.00; and rejected all other bids. ~HEARING Mayor Hall opened the hearing on ~m__endment AMEND. APP. 429 Application 429 filed by Sherwood Forest Developers for amendment of Sectional District Map 4-5-9 to reclassify property on the south side of Santa Clara,west of the Newport Freeway from the A-1 District to the R-1 District. There being no response to the Mayor's call for testimony, the hearing was closed. City C~uncil - 56 - 1963 ^~'AUT0 DE~r~w~S On motion of Counci!~u Hubbard, seconded LICENSE FEES by Councilman Schlueter and carried, Council directed the City Manager and Mayor to meet with auto dealers request- ing a reduction in license fees to discuss further the problem of equitable fees. DISTURBANCE COMPLAI~ Council heard a report from the City Manager regarding a petition from 33 families for revocation of business license of "The Golden Rule Cafe" because of disturbance to nearby residents. The Manager reported that it was staff opinion that the City did not have the right to revoke the license but that two alternatives existed: Concentrated police surveillance or a public nuisance charge. Since there is not sufficient grounds for a public nuisance charge at this time, the Manager recommended that police surveillance be maintained on a more concentrated basis. The Council concurred with the Manager's report and recommendation. Dunivin creating two lots on the east side of Newhope, south of First Street.~ FINAL MAp . TRACT 4262 Final Map for Tract 4262, creating ~8 lots west of Euclid and south of McFadden Avenue, was filed by Tricon Development, Incorporated. It was moved by Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Councilman Schlueter and carried, that Council approve Tract Map 4262, accept the dedications thereon, and authorize execution of the subdivision agreement.
