A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA TO AMEND
RESOLUTION NOS. 82-110 AND 91-066 TO EFFECT CERTAIN CHANGES TO THE CITY'S
BASIC CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION PLAN FOR OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES
OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA.
WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Ana requires
the City to prepare, install and maintain a position classification and pay plan subject to civil service
rules and regulations and the approval of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, on August 2, 1982, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution No. 82-110
revi~ing and re-establishing the Basic Classification and Compensation Plan for all officers and
employees of the City of Santa Ana; and on July 1, 1991, passed and adopted Resolution No. 91-066,
re-establishing the Basic Classification and Compensation Plan for classes of employment designated
as unrepresented executive and middle management; and
WHEREAS, with the adoption of the annual budget for Fiscal Year 1996-97, the City Council
authorized certain organizational, staffing, and compensation changes which affect a number of class
titles in the City's Basic Classification and Compensation Plan for classes of employment contained
in Resolution Nos. 82-110 and 91-066; and
WHEREAS, it is now desired to amend said Resolutions to effect these changes; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA:
1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 82-110, as amended, is hereby further amended by:
a. deleting the following vacant and now obsolete class titles:
Adult Services Coordinator
Assistant Loan Officer
Concrete Finisher
Council Office Assistant (UC)
Graphics Coordinator
Inspections Training Coordinator
Loan Officer
Loan Processor
Loan Underwriter
Police Information Officer
Real Estate Assistant
Real Estate Officer I

These title changes will not result in a change in salary rate range for either classification.

2. That Section 3.5.1 of Resolution No. 82-110 Class Titles and Wage Rates for Seasonal and
Other Unaffiliated Categories of Part-time Employment, as amended, be further amended by adding,
in proper alphabetical sequence, the following class titles:

4. That except as amended by this Resolution, all other provisions of Resolution Nos. 82-
110 and 9D066 shall remain in full force and effect.

5. That this Resolution shall be operative from and after July 1, 1996.
