RESOLUTION NO. 96-062
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA APPROVING A COOPERATIVE GRANT
APPLICATION WITH THE CAMBODIAN FAMILY, INC. FOR
FUNDS FROM THE COUNTY OF ORANGE SOCIAL SERVICES
AGENCY FOR FAMILY PRESERVATION AND SUPPORT
SERVICES.
WHEREAS, the County of Orange Social Services Agency has enacted the Family
Preservation and Support Services Grant that provides funds to orgarfizations to establish
programs; and
WHEREAS, The Cambodian Family, Inc. and its partner agencies are proposing a
grant to serve the Cambodian families of the Minnie Street area in Santa Ana; and
WHEREAS, the City's Police and Library departments will participate in the grant
by providing a reading program, weekly bookmobile visits, training for volunteer tutors and
crime and drug education and prevention programs;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE 1T RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA: Approves the submittal of a cooperative grant application with
The Cambodian Family, Inc. to the County of Orange Social Services Agency for family
preservation and support services.
