RESOLUTION NO. 96-101
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING THE LAND USE
ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN TO CHANGE
CERTAIN LAND USE DESIGNATIONS AND FLOOR
AREA RATIOS IN THE MIDTOWN AREA (GPA 96-7)
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana, after duly
noticed public hearing, approved an amendment to General Plan of the City of
Santa Ana, as hereinafter set forth; and
WHEREAS, this Council, after duly notice public hearing, concurs in the
Planning Commission's approval of said General Plan amendment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
that the Land Use Element of the General Plan of the City of Santa Aha is amended
as follows:

1. Those shown on Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein, as
"GBD to PAO" and "MR to PAO" are redesignated from their curren% General Business
District and Medium Density Residential categories to the Professional
Administrative office category.
2. The maximum floor area ratio in the Midtown Specific Plan area shown
on Exhibit B, attached hereto and incorporated herein, is one (1) s~are foot of
building floor area per each one (1) square foot of lot area; provided, however,
that the Midtown Specific Plan may set lower maximum floor areas, as low as one-
half (0.5) square foot of building floor area for each one (1) s~are foot of lot
area, in such portions of the Midtown Specific Plan area as the City Council, in
its adoption of the Midtown Specific Plan, deems appropriate.
