RESOLUTION NO. 97-004
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA TO AMEND THE CURRENT
ANNUAL BUDGET TO ADD THREE GRANT FUNDED
INTAKE SPECIALIST POSITIONS.

WHEREAS, on April 15, 1996, the city Council passed and
adopted Ordinance No. NS-2283, which establishes the city's budget,
authorizing position allocations for Fiscal Year 1996-97, and which
sets forth the requirement that alterations in the allocations of
authorized positions be reviewed and approved by the City Council;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana has received a grant from the
State of California Job Training Partnership Division for the
purpose of strengthening existing programs offered by the Santa Ana
WORK Center, and to implement an electronic one-stop facility; and
WHEREAS, funds have been received through this grant for the
purpose of hiring three intake Specialists to assist with
implementation of program goals, and to assist with training and
placement of Santa Aha WORK Center Clients; and
W~EREAS, it is now desired to amend the Fiscal Year 1996-97
Budget in order to effect these changes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA:
1. That the Annual Budget for Fiscal Year 1996-97, as
amended, is hereby further amended by allocating three additional
Intake Specialist positions.
2. That except as amended by this Resolution, all other
provisions of the Annual Budget for Fiscal Year 1996-97, as
amended, shall remain in full force and effect.
3. That this Resolution shall be operative from and after
January 16, 1997.
