A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA OVERRULING OBJECTIONS TO AND
CONFIRMING THE REPORT OF THE EXECUTIVE
DIRECTOR OF FINANCE AND MANAGEMENT SERVICES
PERTAINING TO UNCOLLECTED SOLID WASTE
COLLECTION SERVICE CHARGES: MAKING, CONFIRMING
AND LEVYING ASSESSMENTS FOR SUCH UNCOLLECTED
CHARGES; AND ORDERING A COPY THEREOF TO BE
FILED WITH THE COUNTY AUDITOR, ASSESSOR AND
TAX COLLECTOR.
WHEREAS, the Executive Director of Finance and Management
Services has submitted a report, a copy of which is on file with
the Clerk of the Council showing the uncollected solid waste
collection service charges accrued for each individual lot or
parcel identified by Orange County Assessor Parcel Number where
such delinquent solid waste collection charges were due and payable
to the city of Santa Aha pursuant to Section 16-38 of the Santa Ana
Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the Executive Director of Finance and Management
Services has given notice as required by law, in which the 4th of
August, 1997 at the hour of 6:00 p.m. was fixed as the time, and 22
civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, as the place where any and all
persons interested in said report might be heard; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, at said
time and place has received, heard, and considered said report and
all objections thereto submitted by property owners liable to be
assessed for uncollected solid waste collection service charges,
and directed such modification of said report as it has deemed
necessary;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA:
Each and every objection to said solid waste collection
service charges is hereby overruled; said report, a copy
of which is on file with the Clerk of the Council, is
hereby confirmed; the uncollected solid waste collection
service charges upon each lot or parcel of property, as
shown on said report, attached hereto and incorporated
herein by reference as Exhibit 1 is hereby made and
confirmed as an assessment against such lots or parcels
respectively, said assessments are hereby levied, on the
respective lots or parcels of property shown on said
report and the amounts therein on such assessments shall
constitute liens on the respective lots or parcels of
property shown on said report until paid.
The Executive Director of Finance and Management Services
is hereby directed to file a certified copy of said
report and this Resolution with the County Auditor,
County Assessor, and County Tax Collector on or before

August 11, 1997.
The County Auditor is requested to enter the assessments
on the County Tax Rolls.
The County Tax Collector is requested to collect the
assessment at the time and in the manner of ordinary
municipal taxes.
The City of Santa Aha hereby certifies that the special
assessments, special taxes, parcel taxes, charges and/or
fees which are to be placed on the FY 1997-98 property
tax rolls have been duly adopted in accordance with law
and are legal and valid.
