RESOLUTION NO. 97- 039
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
ANA AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF OF POLICE TO SUBMIT A GRANT
AWARD AGREEMENT TO THE OFFICE OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE
PLANNING FOR THE STREET TERRORIST OFFENDER PROGRAM II
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana desires to continue a certain
project designated the Street Terrorist Offender Program II funded in part from funds made
available through the Gang Violence Suppression Program administered by the Office of
Criminal Justice Planning (hereinafter referred to as OCJP);
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
ANA, that the Chief of Police of the City of Santa Aha, California is authorized on its behalf to
execute the attached Grant Award Agreement including any extensions or amendments
thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to provide all matching funds required
for said project (including any amendment thereof) under the Program and the funding terms
and conditions of OCJP and that the cash match will be appropriated as required.
IT IS AGREED that any liability arising out of the performance of the Grant Award Agreement,
including civil court actions for damages, shall be the responsibility of the grant recipient and
the authorizing agency. The State of California and OCJP disclaim responsibility for any such
liability.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received hereunder shall not be used to
supplant expenditures controlled by this body.
