A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA TO
AMEND THE CURRENT ANNUAL BUDGET TO ALLOCATE ADDITIONAL
POSITIONS IN THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AGENCY.
WHEREAS, on May 18, 1998, the City Council passed and adqpted Ordinance No. NS-
2348, which establishes the City's Annual budget, authorizing position allocations for Fiscal Year
1998-99, and which sets forth the requirement that alterations in the allocation of authorized
positions be reviewed and approved by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, funds have been received through the Empqwerment Zone designation from the
U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development authorizing the hiring of staff to administer
the Empowerment Zone programs; and
WHEREAS, it is now desired to amend the Fiscal Year 1998-99 Annual Budget to effect the
addition of these positions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA:
1. That the Annual Budget for Fiscal Year 1998-99, as amended, be further amended
by allocating one additional EmPloyment Development Specialist II position, one additional
Economic Development Aide position and one additional Senior Office Assistant position.
2. That except as amended by this Resolution, all other provisions of the Annual Budget
for Fiscal Year 1998-99 shall remain in full force and effect.
3. That this Resolution shall be operative from and after the date the Empowerment
Zone Memorandum of Understanding is signed and fully executed by the U.S. Department of
Housing and Urban Development.
