A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA TO
AMEND RESOLUTION NOS. 82-110 AND 96-095 TO EFFECT CERTAIN CHANGES
TO THE CITY'S BASIC CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION PLANS.
WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Aha requires
the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position classification and pay plan subject to civil
service rules and regulations and the approval of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, on August 2, 1982, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution No. 82-110
revising and re-establishing the Basic Classification and Compensation Plan for all officers and
employees oft..he .Ci ~d on November 18, 1996, passed and adopted Resolution No.

WHEREAS, based on these findings ,and to ensure that Santa Ana's salaries are set at market
competitive rates, the Police Chief proposes that pay levels be adjusted for the classes of Detention
Supervisor and Detention Manager (AM); and
WHEREAS, it is now desired to amend Resolution Nos. 82-110 and 96-095 to effect these
changes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA:
1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 82-110, as amended, be hereby further emended
by providing equity salary adjustments for the class of Detention Supervisor as follows:

2. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 96-095, as amended, be hereby further
