RESOLUTION NO. 2000-03
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA DESIGNATING CERTAIN
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 115 NORTH
SYCAMORE STREET FOR INCLUSION IN THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA REGISTER OF HISTORICAl_
PROPERTIES
WHEREAS, the building located at 115 North Sycamore Street meets the
minimal standards for historical or architectural significance pursuant to Section 30-2 of
the Santa Ana Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the building has been fundamentally preserved in its original design;
and
WHEREAS, the building is considered a historical resource representing one of
two remaining brick buildings on the block, unaltered, with a simple storefront design;
and
WHEREAS, the listing of this building on the Santa Ana Register of Historical
Properties does not preclude its current use or viability as a permissible use within the
Central Business-Artist Village (C3-A) district.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS:
1. The following building meets the standards for designation as historically
significant property, as set forth in Section 30-2 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code, and is
hereby designated as Historical Property, to be included in the City of Santa Ana Register
of Historical Properties:

2. For the aforementioned building, a report entitled "Historical Property
Description," is on file in the office of the Clerk of the Council, and is hereby approved and
adopted as the findings justifying designation as Historical Property. The Clerk of the
Council is authorized and directed to include said report, together with this resolution, in
the City of Santa Ana Register of Historical Properties.
