RESOLUTION NO. 2000-028
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF OF POLICE TO
EXECUTE A GRANT AWARD AGREEMENT ACCEPTING A
LAW ENFORCEMENT TECHNOLOGY EQUIPMENT
PROGRAM GRANT
WHEREAS, the Santa Ana Police Department has received $468,640.00 in grant
funding from the California Office of Criminal Justice Planning;
WHEREAS, such funding will allow the Police Depaff(ment to enhance local law
enforcement technology to address problems relating to crime suppression and crime
prevention;
WHEREAS, this Council after duly noticed public hearing, has determined that
acceptance of the grant is in the best interests of the City of Santa Ana.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS:
Approves the execution of a grant award agreement with the California
Office of Cdminal Justice Planning by the Chief of Police, including any
extensions or amendments thereof; and
Provides all necessary personnel and overhead costs to implement the
grant program, including but not limited to a program audit and final report.
