RESOLUTION NO. 2000-055
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 91-066 TO
PROVIDE AN INCREASE IN SALARY FOR THE
UNREPRESENTED EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT CLASS
OF POLICE CHIEF (EM)
WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Ana
requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position classification and
pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations and the approval of the City
Council; and
VVHEREAS, on July 1, 1991, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution
No. 91-066 re-establishing the Basic Classification and Compensation Plan for classes
of employment designated as unrepresented Executive Management (EM) and Middle
Management (MM); and
VVHEREAS, it is proposed that the salary level for the unrepresented executive
management class of Police Chief (EM) be increased, in order to attract and retain
qualified candidates; and
WHEREAS, it is now desired to amend Council Resolution No. 91-066, to effect
this change.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA:
That Section 3A of Resolution No. 91-066, as amended, is hereby further
amended by increasing the salary level assigned to the unrepresented
executive management class title of Police Chief (EM) as shown below:

That except as amended by this Resolution, all other provisions of
Resolution No. 91-066 shall remain in full force and effect.
That this Resolution shall be operative immediately upon its date of
adoption.
